Oppo Find X - BEND TEST FAIL!!
The Oppo Find X with its motorized cameras, is one of the coolest smartphones on the planet. The Smartphone that changes everything, the hidden motors moving parts of the phone so the screen can be massive and unobstructed by notches. The Oppo Find X is everything a high tech enthusiast can dream of! BUT... is the Oppo Find X Durable? There is only one way to find out. And thats with JerryRigEverything's durability test.
Its time to stress tess the Oppo Find X with a scratch test on the Screen, and then a razor blade to figure out what materials the phone is made out of. And finally - its time to bend test the Oppo Find X to see how structurally sound the body is.... or how structurally sound the phone body isnt. Not all phones survive my durability tests.

I feel like it would be really awesome if instead if instead of -- or in addition to the motor -- you could just pull the camera cluster up/out in order to activate the camera, like a quick launch. Then push it back in to close the app. Similar to how most phone's have a shake or double tap of the power button to activate the camera. This would also take less stress off the little motor since it would barely be used. The only reason I would feel the need to keep it around is for the sake of one-handed operation, other than that I think it could go.

Ive daily used my oppo find x for pretty much a year now, great phone. Camera functions well storage wont be filled for ages and the ram is great for phone usage, ive dropped it a few times and used it on building sites, the only problem i have with it is the factory screen protector has finally started to fail, so i will need to replace it, all round one of the best phones ive ever bought.

Question: With all the bend tests that you've been doing, wouldn't your hands be getting stronger over time...? And as such, you're potentially giving a tougher bend test at test #100 vs test #1? Or is this to simulate that people (reaching middle-age) typically gain weight over time (and hence additional/increased back-pocket stress)?

Vivo Nex was the same concept done right. There was a reason for hiding front camera, it retained both jack and fingerprint scanner. Oppo Find X on the other hand is an example of a form over content, not very practical (useful features mentioned above are gone), not necessary (no reason to hide back cameras at all) and as we can see - not durable.

I think that was kind of the whole point, to make a phone that puts the bezelless philosophy over everything to show what is actually possible when disregarding everything else. No phone meant to be a serious mass production device will go this far for being bezelless, the tech simply isnt there yet.
