Im glad I found this video, especially it has the bending test. I was worried that my phone might be broken because I was pressing the screen too hard so it can sit in the case when I was installing it. This video helped me feel better. Im extra careful with my iphone 12 pro since this is my first time to upgrade from my iphone 6.

This is the first durability test I’ve ever watched, and the scratchers messing with the screen and the cutter messing with the frame while making those sounds traumatize me.

I always use a glass screen protector and either a silicone or gel phone case (you can get much better ones too) and I’ve never cracked a phone screen in my life. I’m buying the iPhone 12 (not the Pro) so I’m really hoping for no scratches or cracks at all because I’m generally quite careful with my phones

the iphone held up extremely well. the thing wasnt bending at all lol and the scratching wasnt much except for the sides. the screen and back did very good.

I got the Pro max about a week ago. It’s a solid phone ngl. The only disappointment I had was with the battery. It still lasts me all day but I’m a heavy phone user so battery life is very important to me. My screen time is usually around 7-10 hours per day. It’s not that it’s a bad battery it’s that I expected it to last me a whole lot longer without dying. But other than that and the fact it does not have 120Hz scrolling speed, it’s a really decent phone. I’ll comment again in a year and tell you guys if the battery is fried yet lol.

I love these kinds of videos because I'm a tech and I believe these types of videos completely essential to properly learn about the phone you'll be using/buying.

Dude.... I'm so happy you brought up how important tempered glass screen protectors are. Literally one of the best inventions ever.

I’m ok with no charger block as I feel most people have already upgraded that from other devices they have or simply tried to upgrade for faster charging. No screen protector is lame but that would go against everything Apple said about it being stronger, I feel Apple was thinking it would contradict their durability marketing if they included one.

I just got the phone and I’ve been waiting for my case to come in the mail and somehow the back of the phone got a small-medium sized scratched at the bottom left of the back of the phone. I love the design a lot. One of my favorite iPhone design was from the iPhone 4 and they brought it back! It's so beautiful, but If they had removed the notch it would have been amazing. I still wouldn't purchase it though as I am a hardcore android user due to it's advantages

I think the iPhone 12 is an incredible phone for its price tag, just a shame they literally couldn’t afford to include head phones or even a charger port. Swings and roundabouts I guess.

The only reasons someone might want to buy it would be because of the lidar sensor which is also well caliberated and yeah the durability.

Got my 12 less than a month ago, haven’t dropped it or done anything that would cause concern and yet I noticed scratches on the front glass today. Seems to be from simply coming in contact with things, like keys, in my purse and running belt.

That's a shame it only runs iOS. I'm very impressed with how good this phone is designed. Of course if iPhone 12 were running android, the 2,800 mAh battery would fair similar to the Pixel 4, a disaster embarrassment to the software company's reputation leading customers on to assume their software would share similar performance as iPhone. As soon as iPhone has the app selection and compatibility with Windows, I'll be switching.

I think apple has really stepped up their game this year. There was no doubt for me that I was going to buy the pro max, even though I've always been an android user.

The sound the phone makes as it shakes while he's scratching it is pretty nice

I think they should have added a usb-c charger brick this year as they made the switch over to a lighting to usb-c cable. Then in subsequent iPhone releases, I would be fine with them no longer including the brick. But Apple knows this way people will be forced to buy a charging brick most likely from them, so they can make more money, and if they gave a brick out this year, people will not have a need to buy another charging brick in the future so they wont be making as much money.

The 12's build quality is top notch with the ceramic crystal glass and oled screen with the op features

The screen actually has 4 sides as it’s a cylinder with speaker cutout, not a cube and the stainless band isn’t painted it’s anodised. 😊

Do you think with a screen protector this phone is strong enough to not need a case? I do tend to drop my phone a lot. But I would love not to have to have a case

If all they were going to do was hand out another trickle charger than yes I’m fine with them leaving it out. I bought usb-c charger blocks and lightning cables as stocking stuffers this year knowing a few family members are probably going to upgrade phones and at least can charge when they get home.

Dull knives are more dangerous than dull ones because of the force needed to use them. But the force needed to scratch a steel iphone is more dangerous if you try to scratch it with the same material.

I am proud of my new iPhone 12 but still prefer to put a case and screen protector for extra protection.. I just only got it a day before the new year. Thanks for the awesome video,

Maybe it's just because im an apple person but I didn't mind the charger leaving the box. Normally they give you a 5W charger and the new MagSafe can actually fast charge if you use a 20W block which would not normally come bundled. I believe the main reason the removed the block is because people like me do have charging blocks from previous devices I've purchased so it would just become a pile of E-Waste, and the boxes are also smaller so a smaller carbon footprint. IMO If you are complaining about the price of a magsafe and charger block you shouldn't be buying something premium and expensive like an iPhone in the first place.

The good thing about the Apple brick is there's no branding, except for on the side you plug into the wall. It doesn't have a giant  on the sides, and a smaller one on the front, and I like that better.

A fully colored steeled frame so it won't damage when his cutter is in it.. Non bendable .. Jerry would be mind blown and his viewers as welll

Have had Apple apply first the Belkin and then the OtterBox screen protectors to my 14 Pro Max, within days they have bubbles forming at the edges. I don’t know why none of them can stay adhered. Any tips? I gave up on the screen protectors and already have loads of scratches, it’s only been a week, and I have no clue how they’ve gotten there, I haven’t even left the house. Ugh.

Recently found a real life application for your burn test. Left my phone in my back pocket while driving with the seat heater on full blast. Ended up with a big white rectangle burned into my screen on my galaxy note 9. Took about a day to recover but finally did. Thought you might find that interesting

The the MagSafe is the equivalent of a charging cable not a charging brick, which is what wasn’t included . Personally I think it’s more sus that they decided to not include a charging brick when only the iPhone 11 came with an USB C charging brick.

I work in a machine shop with metal filings going everywhere so this phone is definitely a no go for me.

Had this phone for a while now and definitely no complaints, great video as usual mate and hope to see you build more legos

Had the 12 pro for 4 days and already had micro scratches on the front display. I’ve done nothing besides take it in and out of my pocket, have not set it face down anywhere and used a microfiber cloth to wipe it from time to time.

I still have the iPhone X. The first stainless steel phone and it was definitely one built to last

Apple: We reduced packaging by removing the charger because it’s better for the environment. Also them: Instead buy our wireless charger that comes separate with its own packaging or you have to buy another adapter because the cable included doesn’t work with your previous chargers.

Well my issue with lightning to USB-C is I cant find any 10ft cords that fit those connections so im stuck using a slower charger so I can use a 10ft cord. Since they make plenty of USB-A to lightning.
