I was recently researching about this TV and I must say, it looks true good to be true for the price its selling at, seeing as it comes with such brilliant clarity and superb connectivity due to the mediatek chipset inside.

Two important things not mentioned: 1. It upscale by just copying or interpolating pixels, not true upscaling where it would use AI to figure out what the pixels should be at higher resolutions. 2. QLED has a disadvantage to OLED in that it has lower contrast, as the backlight causes the pixels to not be completely dark even when switched off.

I never mounted my TV on the wall, and that is for a couple of very good, in my 'view,' reasons. First, as shown in this video too, it is a lot more easier to use the stand it comes with, and many TV's come with a built-in one. Most importantly, to have a comfortable experience the TV is supposed to be at eye level. You don't want to stare up for two or three hours, which puts stress on your neck. In addition to that, per the studies done along the time, "when a tv screen sits too high above the eyeline this results in a 20% reduction in color depth and brightness, and a 200% reduction in contrast, making it much harder to see details on the screen." My TV sits on an a little over 2-feet tall cabinet, which also makes it very easy to access the back of it if I need to do so.

OLED is far superior to QLED because in OLED each pixel emits its own light, while QLED is just traditional backlit LED with a quantum film.

Ideally, Flat screens should be mounted with the horizontal center line at around eye-level as seen from your siting position. Depending on how you watch tv, it could be mounted higher if you like. As for 4k/8k screens (tv or projectors), the ideal sitting distance can vary (between 5-10 feet for an 80" screen), but if you plan on sitting farther away than that, you're better off getting a 1080P screen. Reason being, you wouldn't really benefit from the higher resolution of the 4k/8k screens unless you are sitting within it's "ideal" viewing distance. Sit too far away and you start to lose out on all that detail you paid for.

My only issue with mounting a TV on a wall, and I have three of them throughout my house, is the wiring. I use wall grommets on all of them so I don’t have see this wiring running down the wall. Very easy to install and let the wire drop to grab it from the bottom. Super clean.

This is kinda reaching the limits of what's reasonable to put in an average room. Anything larger and the viewer going to be way too close to the picture to really enjoy the content. It would be interesting to see what the next generation of 16K is going to be like (if there's even a substantial market for something like that).

4k isn't even widely supported and so many services still use 1080... I think 8k is a step ahead that will take 10 years to become the norm Edit: but the upscaling is hella cool

10 years, no. We've gone from 720p, 1080p to 4k in 10 years. I already watch lots of content in 4k thanks to Netflix, Prime and 4k BluRay's. 8k while a stretch for most will have content readily available in 2-4 years. I'm more interested in proper HDR etc than pixels.

So I think there is a pretty big argument that could be made that after a certain point more pixels really doesn’t make a better viewing experience.

TV finally turned on at 4:19 . BTW + You may be upscaling your source to fit an 8K system, but the content is limited to the resoution in which it was taken. If you are seeing more it's only because the image is bigger. You will see the same detail of that source material on a 4k or less 85" screen.

It's not just about the resolution. It's about the resolution vs the screen size. My phone/ipad have a better image than my 4k TV because it's more dense. At this size of screen you have to have 8k but that doesn't make it more sharp.

LCD TV or in this case QLED Display are very efficient, last longer, they are brighter as it was mentioned on the video. However I want a tv to watch images with natural colors, high dynamic range, amazing contrast, ridiculous refresh rate. so that I'm able to watch the content as it is coming directly from the source and the image should not vary when viewed from a different angle. Qled fails to produce such requirements on all counts. Therefore I would prefer the image from an OLED display or a MicroLED display.

I’ve barely peeled the protective film off my 4K TV, and already the conversation has switched to the next big thing: 8K. Currently, very few streaming platforms offer 8K content. A handful of services in Europe and Japan do, but Netflix, Hulu, HBO, and other heavy hitters currently cap out at 4K. KZonlines has 8K content, but no way of filtering for it-it’s lumped in under 4K for now. Until you can easily get 8K content, either through a subscription or on the web’s largest video hosting service, 8K simply isn’t worth it.

According to my findings OLED has a short life span of around six years. QLED has a shelf life of approx twenty years. Which makes the QLED a more of a one time investment. I would suggest shopping around first, in the UK we have shops giving a 1 year warranty and a couple of places give a five or a six year warranty. As for which is better LG or Samsung that is a 50/50 question, but LG seem to be doing more HDMI 2.1 TV sets than Samsung, which is very poor on Samsung's part. I would also suggest waiting till Black Friday 27th Nov approx.

I dont think I will go back to LCD TVs, even though you get a larger picture. First I had LCD TVs and then went to OLED on the LG EC930V, but that was too tiny with just 55". Then I went back to 4K HDR Sony 8000 series, but I couldnt stand the lack of black levels I had gotten used to from OLED and that I had earlier known from Plasma. So then when the 6 series 65" arrived, I was sold and I bought it. I had that for several years untill I last year traded for the 2019 65" OLED. So the upgrade was well worth it, 3 generations of OLED was very noticable, also burnin is not an issue any more. I love the contrast and the black levels and while a LCD TV can get brighter, it never goes completely black so contrast will be lower. But of course if you look at a completely white picture, it will look brighter on a high output LCD TV. Still I cant imagine I will go back to LCD, I however would want to swap for 77 or larger OLED, maybe I will do so in 1-3 years time. I am looking on the 2020 models of LG Oleds, I do really like that even the 2019 models got Gsync support OTA and support 120Hz! So I am also considering having a 55" 2020 Oled as a gaming monitor.

5 or 6 years of everyday use of the LG oled TV and I'm starting to think that the burning effect is a myth. I don't know what conditions must be met, but netfilx and PS4 won't do it. Your TV is impressive, but 4K materials are still rare and 8K ... you probably know it yourself :). Great movie.

Your voice is great for explanations. There's a stable cadence to it and, the choices of the features you've chosen to talk about. Not boring like death. Maybe it's your audio setup. Point is, it's not whiny like some have seen and couldn't watch because of the annoying voices. Not bad.

Great pixels shame about the lcd screen . I saw your comparison of oled vs Qled and Qled couldn’t produce the stars in the space footage , it’s put me off LED panels completely.

I just think it's hilarious that he made this video talking about how great Samsung TVs are and how much better they are than OLEDs (LG is basically the only company who makes them) and then 5 months later he makes a video about how much better LG's OLED TVs are than Samsung's QLED TVs

Hey Jerry, nice to meet you :) The TV looks nice, but I must highly disagree with you about that QLED is better that OLED, it's just not. Yes, you say all the good/plus sides of the QLED technology, but you miss all problem or disadvantages of them, I don't think it is fair review, but it's sponsored video so... what we can expect ,right ?

When mounted a tv to a wall never use a flush mount style mount option. Always use a mount that has an arm that allows you to pull the tv away from the wall. To access the back of the tv with ease. Aim it left or right and be able to tilt it up and down👍😎👌 in addition you should get wall mount that is over weight rated for the tv. 60 pound tv. Wall mount rated for 100 pound tv 👌🤔😎
